While LeCrone’s dances include intricate, technique-based steps, there’s also room to breathe. Here, dancers Łukasz Zięba, Szylinska and Nicholas Burrage rehearse a section of the piece.
LeCrone employs a range of musical styles, including electronic artist Darrell Fitton and 17th-century composer Francesca Caccini. On the latter’s “Lasciatemi qui solo”: “The harp is so haunting.

LeCrone’s dancers often find themselves on the floor, as is the case here with Atkins and Zięba. “I try to encourage a more natural way of moving,” LeCrone says.
